If you’ve been eyeing Quince sweaters and wondering which ones are actually worth adding to your closet, I’ve got you covered. After trying several different styles, I’m sharing my honest review—plus sweater outfits for every season along the way.
Funny enough, my first Quince purchase wasn't actually a sweater at all—it was a pair of jeans.
I was searching for a very specific pair of gray jeans for petites, but sadly, my usual go-to jeans retailer, Abercrombie, was sold out. And I was not patient enough to wait for a restock that may or may not come.
So I went hunting for the perfect pair of jeans and ended up stumbling across Quince.
I was immediately drawn to their focus on high-quality wardrobe essentials at accessible prices. Think cashmere, silk, linen, organic cotton, and other premium materials in timeless styles that actually fit into an everyday wardrobe. Quince says they're able to keep their prices lower by working directly with factories and cutting out many of the traditional retail middlemen.
They also offer free shipping and 365-day returns, which definitely made trying a brand that was new to me feel WAY less risky.
Side note: After ordering from them quite a few times now, their shipping continues to absolutely impress me—my orders typically ship the same day or the next day and arrive at my door just 1–2 days later!
Anyway…I ended up LOVING the jeans (your waist? Snatched. Your butt? Amazing. The fit? Flattering and comfy!)…and let's just say things escalated from there. Quince quickly became one of my favorite places to shop for elevated wardrobe staples.
Now that sweater season is finally here (even though it doesn't quite feel like it here in Vegas), I couldn't help but stock up on all the Quince sweaters.

Quince Sweaters Review: My Favorite Styles
From cashmere and cotton to alpaca, I’m sharing a complete review of the styles I’ve actually tried, how they fit, and which Quince sweaters I think are worth buying.
At this point, I have eight Quince sweaters across seven different styles in my closet (yes, I loved one enough to buy it in two colors and tbh I’m thinking of snagging more haha).
I’ve styled each sweater a few different ways so you can see how they actually look and fit beyond the product photos, plus how versatile they can be throughout fall, winter, and spring—or even during that summer-to-fall transition.

I bought Quince’s 100% Organic Cotton Boyfriend Crew Sweater in Heather Dove Grey, size XS, and it has just the right amount of oversized fit without overwhelming my 5'0" frame.
The dropped shoulders give it that effortless, relaxed look, while the ribbed trim adds a little extra texture and makes it feel more elevated.
But my favorite part is actually the hem. The sweater has a high-low cut with a curved front hem that creates such a flattering silhouette over whatever you're wearing underneath—no tucking required. In fact, this is definitely one of those sweaters I wouldn't tuck!
That's actually the reason I bought this style in the first place. I specifically wanted a sweater I could throw on over jeans, trousers, or skirts and leave completely untucked while still looking polished.
The sleeves are pretty long, but I personally love how they look folded or casually rolled. The sweater itself is a medium-weight knit that feels substantial without being overly heavy, so it's easy to layer and versatile enough for fall and winter or even cooler spring and summer nights.
One thing worth knowing: the organic cotton isn't particularly soft. It has a slightly rough, textured feel that almost reminds me of a cotton throw blanket. It doesn't bother me at all, but if you're expecting that super-soft feel you get from cashmere, this is definitely different.
What I really love, though, is how versatile it is. You can style it casually with wide-leg pants and sneakers, dress it up with a satin skirt and flats, or easily take it into date night and holiday outfits with a few accessory swaps.
I love this sweater enough that I'm already thinking about adding black to my closet next.

Mongolian Cashmere Oversized Crewneck Sweater
I originally bought the Mongolian Cashmere Oversized Crewneck Sweater in Ivory, size XS, and I am absolutely OBSESSED with this one. The cashmere is incredibly soft, and the fit is just the right amount of oversized on my 5'0" frame without feeling overwhelming.
It has a slight A-line shape that gives you plenty of room through the body while still looking elevated. I especially love that I can leave it loose over something like satin lace shorts for a relaxed look or tuck it into jeans when I want a little more shape.
The cashmere itself is on the thinner, lightweight side, which actually makes this sweater incredibly versatile. It's light enough for spring, cool summer nights, and early fall, but it also layers easily once the weather gets colder in fall and winter. Despite the relaxed silhouette, there's something about the cashmere and simple design that makes it look polished enough to wear with pretty much anything.
One thing I definitely think is worth mentioning: it shrank slightly after I washed it in cold water and dried it on the lowest setting. You can actually see the difference in my photos—the first sweater outfit was before washing and the second was afterward. It still fits beautifully (and clearly didn't stop me from buying another one haha), but I won't be putting mine in the dryer again.
I loved the Ivory so much that I ended up ordering the same sweater in Heather Grey (styled below), and honestly...I already have my eye on more colors like brown and black. It's one of those simple wardrobe staples that can look completely different depending on how you style it—from jeans and sneakers to satin skirts, boots, or even lace shorts during that summer-to-fall transition.

Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Turtleneck Sweater
I bought the Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Turtleneck Sweater in Heather Charcoal, size XS. The cashmere is soft and cozy with a medium-weight, ribbed knit that feels substantial enough for colder weather without being overly bulky.
I also love the dimension of the Heather Charcoal color. Rather than being a flat, solid gray, it has a marled look with lighter gray/white, and black woven throughout, which makes the ribbed texture stand out even more.
The body has a relaxed fit, while the sleeves are surprisingly more slim-fitting. I originally wished the sleeves were a little wider and more relaxed since that's specifically what I was looking for in a dark grey turtleneck sweater, but after styling it, I actually really like the more streamlined silhouette.
Also this is coming from someone who is not usually a turtleneck girl!
I tend to find turtlenecks too thick, itchy, or constricting around my neck, but this one is incredibly soft and comfortable. The neck is also easy to play around with—you can fold it over for a classic turtleneck or tuck it under for more of a mock-neck look.
The medium-weight cashmere makes this one perfect for fall and winter, and I especially love it for more polished outfits. I styled mine with a mini skirt and tall leather boots, but I could easily see wearing it with trousers, jeans, or a satin skirt for brunch, date night, or holiday outfits.
I probably won't be buying this particular sweater in another color simply because I already own other turtlenecks and don't wear them often enough to justify multiples. But if you're someone who does love turtlenecks, this is a really beautiful option—especially if you want something cozy and warm that still looks polished.

Mongolian Cashmere Boxy Crewneck Sweater
I bought the Mongolian Cashmere Boxy Crewneck Sweater in Heather Truffle Brown, size XS. It's lightweight, incredibly soft, and has a relaxed, boxy fit that feels effortless without looking sloppy.
It's really the little details that make this sweater stand out for me. The dropped shoulders add to the relaxed silhouette, while the side vents, ribbed hems, and delicate rolled edges give this otherwise simple cashmere sweater a much more elevated finish.
Because the cashmere is lightweight, this is another Quince sweater I can see getting a ton of wear out of beyond the coldest months of the year. It's perfect for spring and warmer fall or winter days when you want a cozy layer without anything too heavy.
And can we talk about the Heather Truffle Brown color?! It's such a beautiful, rich brown for fall and pairs so easily with the other neutrals in my closet. I styled it with white jeans and brown ballet flats for a lighter fall look, but it would be just as easy to pair with blue jeans, trousers, skirts, or layered under a coat once it gets colder.

Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Crewneck Sweater
I bought the Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Crewneck Sweater in Black, size XS, because somehow, after years of buying sweaters, I realized I had made the mistake of buying almost exclusively V-necks and didn't own a good basic black crewneck. This one ended up being exactly what I was looking for.
It's soft, cozy, and semi-lightweight with a slightly boxy fit that makes it really easy to wear on its own or layer when it gets colder. The ribbed knit adds some texture without being too chunky, and unlike the Heather Charcoal Fisherman Turtleneck, the ribbing on this sweater is a little more subtle. The Black is also a true, deep black rather than having that marled effect.
Another difference I immediately noticed is the sleeves. They're a little wider and more relaxed than the sleeves on the Fisherman Turtleneck, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The overall silhouette still feels polished, but it has that easy, relaxed fit I love in an everyday sweater.
And that's really what makes this one such a good wardrobe staple. It's simple enough to throw on with jeans and ankle boots for an everyday fall outfit, but you can just as easily dress it up. I also styled it with dark-wash wide-leg jeans, pointed heels, and a little lace hemmed cami peeking out underneath for a more elevated date-night look.
I bought this sweater specifically because I needed a versatile black crewneck, but now I'm definitely tempted by some of the other colors—especially charcoal, brown, and ivory. If you're looking for a classic cashmere sweater that you can style a million different ways, this is one of those basics that earns its spot in your closet.

Lofty Baby Alpaca Oversized Crew
I bought the Lofty Baby Alpaca Oversized Crew in Moss Shadow Green, size XS, and this might be the coziest sweater of the bunch. The baby alpaca feels incredibly soft and plush with lots of loose, fuzzy fibers throughout—it honestly reminds me of wrapping myself in a cozy blanket.
It's a medium-weight sweater, so it feels nice and warm for fall and winter without being overly bulky. It's also roomy enough that you can easily layer underneath it on colder days.
The fit is definitely oversized. Even in an XS, it's pretty slouchy and relaxed on my 5'0" frame, but that's exactly why I chose this style. Rather than having a structured, boxy shape, it has more of an easy drape that gives it that effortless oversized-sweater look. The ribbed cuffs and hem add some extra texture and structure, which helps elevate the otherwise very relaxed silhouette.
I also specifically chose the Moss Shadow Green because I've been wanting to incorporate more olive green into my wardrobe to pair with all of my brown and black pieces. The color turned out to be exactly what I hoped for—not overly saturated or bright, but a rich, earthy green that still works beautifully as a neutral.
I styled it two ways here: tucked into brown trousers with pointed heels for a more polished look, and left completely loose over lace shorts with tall brown boots for something more relaxed. I love that even though this is such a cozy sweater, it doesn't have to look overly casual.
This is definitely the kind of sweater I'd reach for when I want to feel super cozy but still chic, and I'm already tempted to add the brown to my closet.

Mongolian Cashmere Cardigan Sweater
The Mongolian Cashmere Cardigan Sweater was actually one of my first Quince sweater purchases, along with the Ivory Oversized Cashmere Crewneck, and I LOVE this cardigan.
I bought mine in Heather Grey, size XS, and it has the perfect slim fit on my 5'0" frame. If I wanted a slightly more relaxed cardigan, though, I would personally size up to a Small.
The cashmere is incredibly soft and lightweight, which makes this such a versatile layering piece for pretty much any season. You can wear it buttoned as a top, leave it open over another layer, or even drape it over your shoulders when you just want a little extra warmth.
My favorite way to style it is actually buttoned as a top with a skirt. I like leaving a few of the bottom buttons undone to accentuate my waist and give the cardigan a little more shape, especially with a flowy skirt like this one. It's such an easy way to make a simple cardigan feel more styled and elevated.
I have noticed a little bit of pilling on mine with wear, which is worth mentioning, but otherwise I've been really happy with how it's held up.
This has become one of those elevated-casual basics that's incredibly easy to work into my wardrobe, and I already know Heather Grey won't be my last color. I definitely have my eye on black and brown next.

Are Quince sweaters worth it?
In my experience, yes, Quince sweaters are absolutely worth it! I’ve been really impressed by the quality for the price, especially with their cashmere sweaters.
I also love how many of their styles are timeless wardrobe staples rather than overly trendy pieces. If you’re building a capsule wardrobe or simply want to add more versatile, elevated basics to your closet, Quince has so many great options that you can wear season after season.
Do Quince sweaters run big or small?
So far, I’ve found that Quince sweaters run pretty true to size, and their product descriptions have been accurate about whether a particular style is fitted, relaxed, or oversized.
I typically order my usual size XS, but I always check the customer reviews and photos before ordering to see how each sweater fits on different body types. That helps me decide whether I want to stick with my usual size or size up for a more oversized, relaxed fit.
Do Quince sweaters pill?
So far, I’ve only noticed slight pilling on my Mongolian Cashmere Cardigan Sweater with wear. Otherwise, my other Quince sweaters are holding up really well and I haven't noticed any significant pilling yet.
I’ll definitely continue to update this review as I wear them more, but so far, I’ve been really happy with how they’re holding up!
Is Quince cashmere good quality?
Honestly, I’ve always avoided buying cashmere sweaters because they were usually way too expensive for my budget. Quince completely changed that for me—their cashmere sweaters feel soft, cozy, and high-quality without the traditional cashmere price tag.
Quince cashmere vs. alpaca: What’s the difference?
Honestly, I find both Quince cashmere and baby alpaca incredibly soft, but they have noticeably different textures. The cashmere feels smoother and more refined, while the baby alpaca is thicker, fluffier, and has more of a fuzzy, plush texture—almost like a cozy blanket.
Based on the sweaters I own, I’d choose cashmere for a lightweight, polished sweater and baby alpaca when I want something warmer, cozier, and more textured.
How do you wash Quince sweaters?
I wash my Quince sweaters in cold water and recommend letting them air dry. I learned that lesson the hard way after one of my cashmere sweaters shrank slightly when I put it in the dryer on the lowest setting.
I’d also recommend checking the care instructions for your specific sweater before washing since they can vary depending on the material.
Which Quince sweater is my favorite?
